Film
I love the whole process of working with film, from loading a roll into the back of my camera, the anticipation while waiting for the developed film to come back from my lab, through to receiving the beautiful, hand printed photographs that highlight the quality and depth of working with film.
With photographs made with film – especially when we enlarge them – comes grain. Grain in a photograph may not be for everyone, but I adore it and the timelessness and elegance it adds to an image.
While I create a digital image from the negative for use online and in promotional products, I will not digitally alter my images beyond what is possible in a traditional darkroom. My aim is to capture the honesty of your life in that moment, and honesty should never be altered.
The negatives from your session will be kept indefinitely, stored to preserve and protect them.
