This post is one week overdue, but the announcement needs to be made in any case. My great friend, Amanda, delivered her healthy, beautiful daughter Grace, at 6pm Sunday 10th of February. She weighed 6lbs 1/2 oz, and measured 50cm in length! She is tiny and just perfect!
There have, of course, been a lot of snuggly cuddles with Grace and on Saturday morning we had a quick, mini photo session with Grace to make sure we captured all of her newness. She was so well behaved, even though we got her out of her warm clothes for it! We also got a handful of family photos too, and I’ll post a peak at them as soon as I have them ready for the web.
Its so amazing and overwhelming to have Grace here after what seems like forever! She is already bringing so much joy to her family’s lives, and I can’t wait to watch her grow and change as the years go by … with camera in hand, of course!

You may remember Naree & Lee from our beautiful maternity session on the beach recently, well, this is their little man at 3 weeks old. A spitting image of his father and such a cutie!! This is the earliest age I have ever photographed professionally, and everything I had heard from other photographers about newborns was very true. He was a little fussy, and once he fell asleep he would wake immediately if we moved him at all! Then, all of a sudden, we hit a “sweet spot” for about 15 minutes where he slept so deeply that we were pretty much able to do with him what we wanted! It was lovely and so nice to know that this is all out of my hands and to realise that a new baby really does run the show.

Introducing the beautiful Brooklyn Rose at 5 weeks old …..
This was a really fun and relaxed shoot, Brooklyn was so well behaved. Mum & Dad were very tired on the morning of the shoot, but I don’t think you can tell from these images – they make such a beautiful new family.
Firstly, I think this may be my favourite …..
Clinging tightly to dad’s shirt …. :)
Brooklyn’s eye contact through the shoot was so amazing for such a little one!
