We have decided that we should start exploring our corner of the world a little more, so a couple of weekends ago we went to Binna Burra with our very good friends, Sarah & Carl for a couple of picnics, wine, a bush walk and some good company.
First things first …… morning tea! Yum ….

Chris had a little snooze after morning tea …

Then we headed off for our walk …..
awww ….. :)

Just a quick note to welcome to the world two brand new little boys!
Naree & Lee welcomed their son yesterday morning, Jordyn Lee – I cannot wait to meet their little man, and especially to work with them all on his newborn photos.
And, Irene & Ala also welcomed a son on Tuesday – who is as yet, unnamed. I’m looking forward to meeting their little guy too :)
Both new families are happy and healthy, and I can’t imagine the amazement they must be feeling at this very moment.
Boys everywhere! Must be something in the water ;-)

This weekend just gone, I assisted a photographer photographing a wedding! Was a great learning experience, in a lot of ways – I had to shoot digital!! But he ‘taught’ as we worked and I really learnt a lot. I’ve also got some amazing equipment to try out now too – cannot wait to get my hands on that!! :)
The weekend before last, I had the pleasure of working with 12 month old Charlotte! She is such a gorgeous little girl and very busy! I soon learnt that when it comes to toddlers – I have absolutely no control over the shoot :) I managed to get some great shots though – I’m looking forward to sharing them with Charlotte’s parents very soon!
I’m off to visit with my grandparents for the rest of the week, so hopefully I’ll come home with some nice portraits of the family – including my dad who is coming to visit, and who lives much too far away! ;-)

Saturday morning was really lovely, I was able to photograph the very beautiful and much loved 5 week old Brooklyn Rose. For two tired parents, I think we had a lot of fun, and I’m looking forward to their images reflecting that. We also managed to do a couple of portraits of mum and dad, which were really lovely, and got me welling up …. I’m such a sap!!
Sunday morning I met with Irene and Ala. Ala was a little camera shy, so we started the morning with 32 weeks pregnant Irene, and ended with a couple with Ala in the mix. We even got his prized car to star in a few images which was something different and fun to try!
I am really looking forward to seeing the images from this weekend, especially those of Miss Brooklyn ….. my first newborn ….. what a pleasure she was to shoot :)

This weekend I met with Kathy and Ryan – friends of a friend, and they received their maternity shoot as a gift – a great one in my opinion ;-) So, in Queensland we’ve been in the midst of a drought, much like the rest of Australia. Well, for the past week it has just BUCKETED down, which is great, we need it and its falling in all the right places ….. BUT ….. not so great when you’re in the middle of a shoot! Thankfully, we managed to get in a few shots in the park before the clouds rolled in, but once we got back to their home, the skies had darkened! So we worked with what we had, and hopefully, we will have been successful! Kathy was at 35 weeks for the shoot, and we had a great time – lots of laughs. Again, an easy job for me when people are so fun and so agreeable. Loving these maternity shoots!
On Sunday, we had Amanda’s 4 month shoot for her pregnancy, and this time we added a little more ’sass’ to the shoot, so hopefully we’ll get a better result. Her cheeky hubby Michael even got in on the act for a couple of shots. Am really looking forward to seeing all my work from this weekend.
