Tanya (Diana’s sister) & Andrew will be married next month on the same day they met 3 years ago (ironically the same day & place Chris and I re-met 3 years ago!). We booked their pre-wedding session on one of the most humid days we have seen this summer, but we pushed through it all to create some great images together!
Tanya & Andrew were so into the session, and up for anything I suggested – even using pumpkins as props (see below). And I don’t think I have ever worked with someone who takes direction as beautifully as Tanya does, she seemed to instinctively know the look I was after and executed it perfectly!
Can’t wait to see what we create for your wedding next month! Here are your images…

Thank you for such a great session guys! Really looking forward to your wedding!

When we had finished up with Mitch’s newborn session, I asked Donna and John when they had last had their portraits taken, and they answered : “our wedding”. So Mitch was put to bed and mum and dad settled in for their portraits. This series is my favourite – got to love the moment just before a kiss …

When I work on a newborn session, I’m normally working with two parents who are overwhelmed, in awe, exhausted and generally haven’t had much time to stop and check in with each other. At the end of the baby focused session, I will ask mum and dad if they’d like to have a couple of quick portraits made, of just the two of them. The results are of course, always varied, but the common factor is usually a husband and wife finally getting a moment to slow down to say ‘hi’, and have a few minutes with the focus back on them. The images are always bursting with emotion, and capturing that is priceless.
Here are Amanda & Michael’s portraits … post baby Grace …

Meet Anna & Mel. Anna contacted me to organise a portrait session to commemorate and to celebrate their civil union they have recently had in New Zealand. Anna & Mel are Brisbane girls living in London, so we decided to have our session at some prominent Brisbane City landmarks …. the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, The Story Bridge, along the Brisbane River and the Botanical Gardens.
I am happy to report that while they were both a little nervous at the beginning of the session, we all relaxed and had a brilliant time together, really enjoying capturing this very important time in their lives.
This is a really big showcase, so I’ll let the images speak for themselves.
Definitely a favourite ….

After we finished with Brooklyn’s shoot, we quickly got a few photographs of mum and dad together. After all the time we’ve spent together recently, these guys are starting to feel more like friends rather than clients!
I LOVE this sequence of shots ……
